Grace to Remain Inside Christ

My Destiny
(Ruth 1-4. tune “On Christ The Solid Rock”)

1. Elimelech of Ephratah
In Bethlehem, of Judea
A man of destiny in God
From famine fled, to foreign land

My destiny’s in Jesus Christ
I shall not flee to foreign land
My destiny’s in Je-sus Christ
I shall not flee to foreign land!

2. Naomi, Mahlon and Chillion
His family, with him did flee
Sons took to wife two foreign girls
The one Orpah the other Ruth

3. Elimelech died in Moab
His two sons too died in Moab
Distressed Naomi looked around
Arose in tears, Bethlehem bound

4. Orpah deserted but Ruth clave
To Naomi and to her God
God embraced Ruth and changed her fate
She found her destiny in God

5. Beloved be rooted in Christ
Be built up bearing fruit in Him
No glory in the outside world
“Without are dogs” our God has warned

Ruth 1:1-2

Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Bethlehem Judah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons.

2 And the name of the man was Elimelech, and the name of his wife Naomi, and the name of his two sons Mahlon and Chilion, Ephrathites of Bethlehem Judah. And they came into the country of Moab, and continued there.

God’s Word against Moab - Deut. 23:3-6
What makes a man certain that he will enter into and fulfil his destiny? Only as he abide and remain inside Christ
What is the famine that seeks to separate you from the love of Christ? Romans 8:35

Prayer Points

  • Grant me daily, a heart revelation of “Whose I am and “Who I am in Christ.” Col. 2:3,9; Acts 17:28; 1 John 1
  • Lord, let this understanding secure my heart and deepen my roots inside Christ. Keep me standing with and for JESUS in the face of persecution and famine. Help my life so that I never exchange my destiny/inheritance/birth- right for food or the passing pleasures of sin. Heb. 11: 24-27
  • Help my heart keep knowing that it is only as I abide and remain in Christ that I am certain of a glorious destiny. Psl. 36:9
  • Deliver me from decisions that can potentially cost me and my loved ones our lives, or more importantly rob us of our inheritance/destiny in Christ.
  • Holy Spirit, show me areas of my life that are still sojourning and/or continuing in Moab (World or World System) and help me take practical and deliberate steps to return back to Judah (Christ).
  • John 1:1-2 Open the eyes of my heart so I can see Jesus, grant me ears that hear and can discern Your voice; may I touch and experience You in a definite way not fleeting shadows. May I manifest and bear witness of who You are.

Romans 8:35,37-39
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.  38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Ruth found and secured her destiny in God. LORD, keep me on this journey of faith and on heavens highway!!!!

God’s Preparation – His Ways

Join this HeartCry Prayer- Every Wednesday 11.30am-1.30pm (UK time)

GIDEON – Judges 6 – 8
  • 6: 12 - 14He finds Gideon, even called him “a mighty man of valour”. And afterwards, asked Gideon to go in the strength that he has, since He (the Lord) was sending him.
  • 6:25 – 26 – God instructs Gideon to tear down the altar of Baal his father Joash had built and build a proper kind of altar for the Lord his God.
  • 7: 2-6 – God reduced the number of men with His own criteria. God’s ways are not our ways, the criteria of fear, unwillingness to go all out for Him was the first and more than half of the men left. Even with that great reduction, God further put the criteria of the style used by the men to drink water! Their drinking style demonstrated their level of preparation for use in this particular task. 1 Corinthians 6:12 (All things are lawful but not all are expedient, I will not be brought under the control of anything)
  • 7:8  – the men who failed to qualify (31,700)  were not only sent back, but the provisions and trumpets (ammunition for battle) were taken from them and given to the 300.

Obedience
6:27 - God’s instructions to Gideon were quick and Gideon obeyed immediately.
6:36 – 7:1 – After the fleece confirmation, Gideon the very next morning, camped with his men at the spring of Harod.
7:9 – after the Lord had whittled down the number of men to 300, that same night, God came with further instructions for Gideon - to go down against the camp of the Midianites. God asked him to go down to the camp and listen to what they were saying if he was afraid and he did immediately. After he confirmed what God had been saying to him, he worshipped and mobilised his people for battle!
7: 17-18 – Gideon now gave instructions to the 300 on what to do, they were to watch him and follow his lead to do exactly what he does.

Prayers
  • Thank God for the understanding He has granted us from His Word.
  • Lord, baptise us with the spirit of repentance – what separates us from God is sin, just like the Israelites in Judges 6:10b, they failed to take heed to God. He can’t behold iniquity.
  • Thank Him for the provision of the Cross that dealt decisively with the nature that is unable to obey Him. Thank Him for the Holy Spirit that He has sent, our Teacher and Helper, the Spirit of truth.
  • Lord, because of the help You have sent, the Holy Spirit, let our obedience to You be quick, not delayed, not sluggish, not lip service. Let our obedience to You be genuine!
  • Lord, no matter how few the labourers are, please find us included. May we not be disqualified because of lack of preparation, we submit to Your standards of preparation, no matter how odd or strange, it’s Your labour, have Your way! Matthew 7:13-15; Deuteronomy 30:18-20.
  • Lord, may we remain in awe of who You are, remove every familiarity. Judges 7:15, after God proved what He had told Gideon and he was convinced, he worshipped God and his attitude changed. There is no more mention of fleece after this revelation. Lord, help us to know, settle in our hearts that You can be trusted.
  • Our obedience isn’t just for us, but for the lives tied to ours – the 300 were properly instructed because Gideon had listened and obeyed the Lord’s instructions to him. Lord, help us!
  • The battle belongs to God, therefore, victory is assured. When this happens, humble us, may we not become proud and conceited. Judges 8:1-3, 22-23. Gideon gave a wise answer to the people of Ephraim and also to the Israelites request that he rule over them.
  • Father, help us to take heed; the enemy is out to steal and destroy from us. Judges 8:24-27, 29-35. Gideon built a gold ephod that eventually became a snare as the people later started prostituting by worshipping it. He also married many wives, had a concubine which had its consequences. Lord, let the victory of the Cross of Calvary over sin and death, over the powers of satan, let it ever be before us!
  • Because of Gideon’s obedience, in his lifetime, Israel had peace for 40 years, the Midian did not raise its head again in that time -Judges 8:28. Lord, may our own generation not be left out in your records of victory.

The Ten Commandments

Listen (MP3) and pray along

Join this HeartCry Prayer- Every Monday 11.30am-1.30pm (UK time)

Matthew 5:17-18   " Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.  18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."

Mark 12:29-30  "And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: 30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment."
God's ten commandments stand today because God will never change. But, He gave us Jesus as our testament who came and fulfilled the law. How did Christ fulfil the ten commandments?

  Deuteronomy 5:1-21

  God's Commandments & Jesus' Fulfilment

1.      Have no other God besides God.
Jesus demonstrated full commitment to His Father (John 8:49)

2.      Take not God's name in vain.
Jesus honoured His Father in heaven (Matt 5:33-37)

3.      Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it.
Jesus sanctified the sabbath by setting people free, giving them rest from their sin, bondage, sickness and restlessness (Mark 2, Luke 6:5-10, Luke 13:10-16)

4.      Honour thy father and thy mother.
Jesus honoured his father and mother and was subject to them (Luke 2:51-52)

5.      Do not kill.
Jesus did not kill anyone but brought life to all (Matthew 20:28, John 10:10-11)

6.      Do not commit adultery.
Jesus had no immorality in Him but set the adulterous woman and many harlots free (John 8:1-11)

7.      Do not steal.
Jesus came to restore our stolen life and peace (John 10:10, Matthew 18:11)

8.      Bear not false witness against your neighbour.
Jesus was never a false witness (John 3:1-10)

9.      Do not covet Your neighbour's wife.
Jesus never dishonoured but blessed marriage and forbade adultery (Matthew 5:27-32)

10.  Do not covet your neighbour's goods.
Rather Jesus gave and gave and gave- He gave money to the poor, He gave healing, He gave deliverance, He fed the hungry, He gave His life (Matthew 20:27-28)

At the cross, Jesus gave His life to authenticate fulfilment of the commandments of God so that as many of us as are carriers of JESUS' life also carry the fulfilment of God's commandments. Christ in me is the hope of a glorious fulfilment of all God's laws.

ü Lord Your laws are righteous. Thank You for the ten commandments that showed us Your mind and the life You accept. Help me to know that Your ten commandments are still valid today and that You will not back down on Your standard. Please reveal Your heart to me.
ü  Father God I Thank You for giving us JESUS to fulfil Your laws. We have hope. Our lives too can please You like our Master's life pleased You. Thank You.
ü Lord Jesus thank You for the mystery that brought You in the flesh. You came to save me so that my life can please the Father like Yours did. Thank You.

            God’s ten commandments stand today
            For God will never change
But gave us Christ our testament
            Who came fulfil the law.

No longer I but Christ in me
            Fulfilling all God’s laws
His love made perfect in my heart
            His Love fulfils the law.

Leviticus chapter 8

1Peter 2:9-11 " 9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; 10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. 11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;"

An unconsecrated man/woman could not approach God directly. He would be consumed, because God is a holy God and a consuming fire. He consumes sin and its carrier.

JESUS has been made all things for us in order to produce a finished consecrated life in us. He is:

  • Our garment of righteousness
  • Our anointing oil
  • Our bullock, our ram
  • Our unleavened bread
  • Our washing and cleansing
  • Our ephod and curious girdle
  • Our breastplate
  • Our urim and thumim
  • Our crown and golden plate
  • Our High Priest and our Consecration

1 Corinthians 1:30 "But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:"

  • Thank You JESUS for all You are to me. My completeness and totality in God. "And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:" Thank You Lord.

How did Jesus fully consecrate us as kings and priests to our God? The GOSPEL!

1 Timothy 3:16 "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."

  • Lord please reveal to me the mystery and the mysteriousness of the Gospel. Rid me of the gospel that carries no mystery. Such a gospel cannot carry the power of consecration that I need to see God.
  • Lord let this revelation of the Gospel dawn on me and consume me. Let it do the work of life consecration that God requires of my life so I don't get consumed by His anger in hell.
  • Please help me know that God has not changed. He is the same today as He was in the old testament. He has only made a way for me by providing JESUS. May I not ignore God's provision ever again.

2Peter 1:16-19 "For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. 18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. 19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:"

  • Lord help me take heed to this light that shines in the dark. May I not trade this treasure for the deceptions of the dark world and their pecks.
  • Lord let this day that has broken dawn on me. Let the Daystar arise in my heart to propel me on.
  • Lord please give me oil in my lamp and keep me burning till JESUS returns to take me home.

Aaron’s Consecration
(Leviticus 8. tune: “Be Thou My Vision”)

1. Take thou Aaron, his sons take with him
Take the garments, th'anointing oil
Take a bullock as an offering for sin
And take two rams and bread not with leaven.

2. Bring out the congregation of men
Bring thou Aaron and sons to be washed
Put on him the coat and gird him with girdle
With rope and ephod fastened into place.

3. Put on Aaron the breastplate of love
Put the urim and the thumim too
On his head the golden plate and the crown
Pour the anointing oil on Aaron’s head.

4. Slay thou the bullock of sin sacrifice
Consecrate with the blood the altar,
The ram’s blood on Aaron and on his sons
To be made ready to minister as priests.

5. Praise Thee O mighty God of our lives
Thy only Son as High Priest us gave
JESUS our sin offering our sacrifice
Consecrated us as priests to our God.

6. JESUS hung on the cross for our sin
Died, was buried and rose from the dead
JESUS our sin offering our sacrifice
Consecrated us as priests to our God.

Turn Round

Pray along with message (MP3)

Join this HeartCry Prayer- Every Monday 11.30am-1.30pm (UK time)

Scripture Lyrics: Turn Round & I'll Sing A Song
Exodus 3:1-22   " And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God. And the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows; And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, ... 10 Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt."

ü Thank You for bringing me out of the dark night. Your bringing me on these platforms is one of my burning bush experiences where You are trying to reveal Yourself to me anew. Like Moses, help me turn aside now to see and to hear You. Take indifference away from me.
ü 2Corinthians 3:16  " Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away." Lord take away whatever veil that still covers my heart from seeing or hearing You in this daybreak: Religion, Tradition, Culture, Mammon, The Flesh, Sinful Habits, Pressure, Anything that constitutes a blockage in my life, let it lift by the power of Your Holy Spirit. I want to see and hear YOU.
ü Lord don't let the enemy use my weakness as a veil. Help me know that Your strength is only made perfect in my weakness. Help me drop my weakness in Your hands so I can pick up Your strength in this day of Your power. Help me rely on Your mercy as I go in Your name and with Your power.
ü Lord scatter and plague the devil with all his organised plans to stand in the way as I go to bring freedom and life to Your people through the power of the Gospel.
ü Lord open the eyes of Your people as You introduce Yourself to them again through the mystery of the cross centred Gospel. Lord, set Your people free from sin.

Exodus 15:1-27  " Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the Lord, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea. The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him. The Lord is a man of war: the Lord is his name. Pharaoh's chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea...."

ü For those of us who already know Your victory over sin, the world and Satan, please put a new song in our mouth. Enlarge our heart in gratitude to You always.
ü Like Moses, and like our Master JESUS, give us the courage to face whatever task is ahead of us in bringing the message of hope and victory to others.
ü May we promote Your sovereignty over all as we go in this daybreak. Amen

ü We pray for the minstrels:
·        Those who write these lyrics
·        Those who conduct and sing them
·        Those who play the instruments
·        Those who record the lyrics
·        Those who minister of their substance- food, home, comfort etc...
ü Lord it takes a long time to prepare Your messengers for a short message, because You care for their lives. Prepare continuously, these Your minstrels for Your glorious use.
ü We pray for the Scripture Lyrics, (the message) Let life come out to all who hear and see these lyrics. Bring conviction, conversion and freedom to go and live for the Lord.
ü Thank You for the power of songs. Send us more lyrics, more minstrels, and more open doors to the hearts of men everywhere.

ü Psalm 70:4  " Let all those that seek Thee rejoice and be glad in Thee: and let such as love Thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified."

Turn Round With A Face Unveiled
(Exodus 3-14. tune: Lord Thy Word Abideth)

1. Turn round with a face unveiled
Hear the cry of slaves in chains
Come now let me send you
Says the only great ‘I AM’

2. But Lord I’m a stammerer
Timid, spineless as a worm
Drop to the ground your weak rod
Pick up now God’s own rod

3. Go with renewed strength and fire
Burning from My heart to yours
And with boldness speak My word
“Pharaoh let My people go!”

4. See the plagues of unbelief
Frogs, boils, darkness, lice and fleas
Mark your lintels with the blood
Eat quick God’s Passover

5. Tell My people says the Lord
“Jesus shed His precious blood
Freedom yours, Mine great the cost
Look to Him and die not”

6. Hear Lord now Your people’s plea
Open all our blinded eyes
Wake up all our slumbering hearts
Help us touch this freedom!

Joseph, A Sower of Righteousness

Pray along with message (MP3)

Sing along with lyrics (MP3)

Scripture Lyrics
Luke 8:5-8   " A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.  And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture.   And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it.  And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear."

Genesis 37:1-2  "And Jacob dwelt in the land wherein his father was a stranger, in the land of Canaan.  These are the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brethren; and the lad was with the sons of Bilhah, and with the sons of Zilpah, his father's wives: and Joseph brought unto his father their evil report."

ü Hebrews 1:9  "Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows." Lord activate the love for righteousness and hatred for iniquity in me like You did for Joseph.
ü Help me stand out from among the crowd as an uncompromising lover of righteousness, "though no one joins me still I will follow."
ü May I seek to help my brethren to love righteousness though they persecute me like Joseph's brothers did when he sought for them to turn from their evil ways.

Genesis 37:6-7, 9  "And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed:  For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf...
And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me."

ü As I pursue Your righteousness, Lord, equip me with a dream of what You have for my life as a sower. Let me be propelled by my dream to sow righteousness in all my dealings with men even when it looks like it is not yielding.
ü Genesis 37:13-17; 19-20  Joseph sowed brotherly love, looking out for his brothers. Make me my brother's keeper. Never let me pay evil with evil but help me overcome evil by good.
ü Genesis 39:7-12  Joseph sowed righteousness by fleeing from sin, though half naked. Cause me by Your grace to say "NO" to sin however attractive. Sin is a killer of dreams.
ü Genesis 41:25-44 Joseph sowed righteousness by interpreting Pharaoh's dream exactly as God gave it, not adding, not taking away from it. Lord, help me to uphold Your Word and declare it as it is, whatever the cost.
ü Isaiah 63:1-3 Help me bring godly counsel to people who are confused and in need.

Genesis 49:22-26
From grass to grace was Joseph raised
Tried, tempted stood o’er sin prevailed
Young Joseph proved God’s faithfulness,
With hope and patience lived his dream.

ü Lord, like Joseph give me a divine push to prevail over sin, over the world and over Satan. Make me an overcomer in a difficult and overbearing world. Bring all my dreams to reality miraculously. Make me fulfil Your destiny for my life.

ü Cause our children's hearts to open to You like Joseph. (mention their names) Deliver them from all that the enemy has organised to kill their dreams and destroy their destinies. Make all our children fulfil destiny in JESUS' name. Amen.
