Lamentations

Join this HeartCry Prayer - Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 11:30am -1:30pm (UK time)

Lamentations
(Lamentations 1 - 5. Tune “I Stand Amazed In The Presence”)

1.How sit solitary the city,
That once full of people was?
How become she as a widow,
That was among nations great?

2. How hath the LORD covered Zion's,
Daughter with an angry cloud?
From heaven down unto the earth,
His footstool remembered not?

This I recall, 'tis of the Lord's
Mercies that we're not consumed
His compassion will never fail,
Every morning they are new!

3. Remembered I my affliction,
My misery, wormwood, gall.
My soul within me is humbled,
My portion and hope is God.

4. The LORD is good unto all them,
That wait for Him and seek too.
'Tis good for one both to hope and,
wait quietly and be saved.

This I recall, 'tis of the Lord's
Mercies that we're not consumed
His compassion will never fail,
Every morning they are new!

5. The yoke 'tis good in his youth bear,
And sit silently alone.
Because He's borne it upon him,
His mouth putteth in the dust.

6. His cheek giveth to be smitten
He's filled with reproach and grief,
The LORD yet full of compassion,
Doth not willingly afflict.

This I recall, 'tis of the Lord's
Mercies that we're not consumed
His compassion will never fail,
Every morning they are new!

7. Let us all search and try our ways,
And turn to the LORD again,
Let us lift up our heart with,
Our hands unto God, He reigns.

This I recall, 'tis of the Lord's
Mercies that we're not consumed
His compassion will never fail,
Every morning they are new!

Jeremiah
(Jeremiah 1, 29 tune. “All Things Are Possible” OR “And Can It Be”)

1. The Word of God came unto me,
“Before I formed thee in the womb,
I knew and I sanctified thee,
Ordained thee prophet for My name’
Say thou not then ‘I am a child’
Oh Jeremiah I chose thee.”

2. The Word of God came unto me.
“Be not afraid of their faces,
For I’m with thee to deliver,
Behold I put my words in thee,
This day set I thee o’er the lands,
To root, to pull, to build and plant.”

3. The Word of God came unto me.
“Gird up thy loins and rise and speak,
Go cry unto Jerusalem,
‘I remember thee saith the Lord,
The kindness and love of thy youth,
My people what has come on thee?’”

4. The Word of God came unto me.
“I know My thoughts for thee says God,
The thoughts of peace, not of evil,
A future and a hope thee give.”
The Son of God hung on the cross,
A future and a hope us gave!

The Spirit Of God Is Upon Me
(Luke 4, Isaiah 61. tune: “Begone Unbelief”)

1. The Spirit of God is upon my life
Anointed me He the gospel to preach
The poor in the spirit, the meek in the heart
Come into God’s kingdom opened by the cross.

2. The broken in heart He sent me to heal
The captives of sin deliverance to bring
The blinded in darkness recover their sight;
The bruised of the world at liberty to set.

3. See the prison door wide open today
To thee that are bound arise and be free!
Th’acceptable year of our God to proclaim
The day of His vengeance is about to rain.

4. The Spirit of God is upon my life,
To comfort all them who mourn in Zion
Beauty for their ashes praise garment of joy
Bringing Him the glory our King and our God!

Songs of Solomon

Join this HeartCry Prayer - Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 11:30am - 1:30pm (UK time)

Rose Of Sharon

(Song of Solomon 2. “I Am So Glad”)

1. I am the beautiful Rose of Sharon                       2. As the apple tree among all the trees
I am the Lily of the valley deep                                So is my Beloved among the sons
As the lily that grows among the thorns,                 Sat I under His shadow with delight
So is my love in the midst of the world.                   And His fruit unto my taste was so sweet.

My Beloved has said unto me
Rise up my love, my fair one rise
My Beloved has said unto me
Rise up and come away!

3. He brought me into His banqueting house        4. Jesus our Lord the Bridegroom of the Church
And over me now His banner is love                     Our Beloved with His blood us all bought
Take us the foxes that spoil our vines                    Church let us rise with a heart full of love
Tender the grapes in our vine as our hearts          Clothed in His righteousness, filled with His trust

SOS 2:10  "My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.... God is forever extending an invitation to mankind- and especially to His people, to progress from glory to glory.

2 Corinthians 3:18. “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” God never intends His people to live a stagnant life because His life is a dynamic one. God invites us to progress today through the Gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord!

Lord please make my growth in You progress from glory to glory! Help me to:

  • Receive Your Gospel invitation of the immortal God who became a mortal man that I a mortal man can become a carrier of the immortal God. That I may be made one with God.

  • Receive Your Gospel invitation to be transformed from within through Jesus' Calvary death to my sinful human nature. That I may die and be born again.

  •  Receive Your Gospel invitation to bury dead works out of sight in repentance- mourning, sorrowing, confession and forsaking. Let the output of these be a permanent brokenness for me to walk with You my God in complete intimacy.

  • Receive Your Gospel invitation to live the resurrected life, the new life every day.

  • Receive Your Gospel invitation to be Your witness in purity and purpose of life. Standing for You before mortal men. Your ambassador indeed.

  • Receive Your Gospel invitation to ascend and be seated with You in heavenly places. To set my affections on my home in heaven; not on things here in the world.

  • Receive Your Gospel invitation to tarry in prayer and be endued with power from on high. To be filled with The Holy Spirit that makes the supernatural become an every day occurrence in and through my life as long as I am still here on earth.

  • Receive Your Gospel invitation to stand firm on Your platform as a disciple and also make disciples of all nations for You as You work in me both to will and to do and to “GO make disciples.”

  •  Receive Your Gospel invitation to make ready to put on immortality and come up to You at the trumpet sound. To know that it won't be long.

  • Receive Your Gospel invitation to be among the tens of thousands of Your saints who will come back to reign with You on earth for a thousand years, restoring all things to God.

  • Lord please create in me a heart fully responsive to Your various invitations whenever, however, wherever, and through whoever they come to me. Amen.

  • THANK YOU FOR BEING SO KIND TO MANKIND AND TO ME IN PARTICULAR!

"My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away....”

(Ecclesiastes 3. tune: “Must Jesus Bear”)

1. To everything a season stands,
A time to every thought,
And plan under the heaven too,
Lo there’s a time for me.

2. A time to be born and to die,
A time to plant and pluck,
A time to kill, a time to heal,
Lo there’s a time for you.

3. A time to break, a time to build,
A time to weep and laugh,
A time to mourn, a time to dance,
Lo there’s a time for us.

4. A time to cast or gather stones,
A time to get or lose,
A time to rend, a time to sew,
Lo there’s a time for all.

5. A time to love, a time to hate,
A time of war and peace,
’Tis time for JESUS’ saving grace,
Lo this the time to PRAY!

The Proverb of Solomon

Join this HeartCry Prayer - Every Monday - Wednesday and Friday 11:30am - 1:30pm (UK time)

Proverbs 1. tune: “Sweet Hour Of Prayer”

1. The proverbs of, king Solomon
Son of David and Israel’s king,
Wisdom and in-struction to know,
Justice, judgement and equity.
Subtlety to the simple give
Discretion, knowledge to the young
The wise will hear, increase in mind
The proverbs of King Solomon.

2. To understand, a proverb and
The interpretation thereof,
The fear of God, said Solomon
Is the beginning of knowledge.
But fools alone wisdom despise,
My son, my own instruction hear,
Thy mother’s law forsake thou not
The proverbs of King Solomon.

3. My son if sinners come to thee,
Go not with them consent thou not,
To shed the blood of guiltless ones;
To mock or kill or steal their goods.
Cast not thy lot among the fools,
Walk not my son the way with them
For with their lives shall pay the price
The proverbs of King Solomon.

4. But Wisdom cries out on the streets,
The city uttereth her word says,
“How long how long ye simple ones;
Fools how long wilt thou hate knowledge?”
The voice of Jesus rings aloud,
As Wisdom cries out in the streets,
Jesus God’s power and wisdom is
The Proverbs of King Solomon.

Job

Join this HeartCry Prayer- Every Wednesday 11.30am-1.30pm (UK time)
Job 1 & 2
There was a man named Job who lived in the country of Uz. He was a good, honest man. He respected God and refused to do evil. Job had seven sons and three daughters. He owned 7000 sheep, 3000 camels, 1000 oxen, and 500 female donkeys. He had many servants. He was the richest man in the east.

Job’s sons took turns having dinner parties in their homes, and they invited their sisters. The day after each of these parties, Job got up early in the morning, sent for his children, and offered a burnt offering for each of them. He thought, “Maybe my children were careless and sinned against God at their party.” Job always did this so that his children would be forgiven of their sins.

Then the day came for the angels[a] to meet with the Lord. Even Satan was there with them. The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you been?”

Satan answered the Lord, “I have been roaming around the earth, going from place to place.”

Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you noticed my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him. He is a good, faithful man. He respects God and refuses to do evil.”

Satan answered the Lord, “But Job has a good reason to respect you.10 You always protect him, his family, and everything he has. You have blessed him and made him successful in everything he does. He is so wealthy that his herds and flocks are all over the country. 11 But if you were to destroy everything he has, I promise you that he would curse you to your face.”

12 The Lord said to Satan, “All right, do whatever you want with anything that he has, but don’t hurt Job himself.”

Then Satan left the meeting.

Easy To Read Bible Version

Job 1:13-19  Job loses all he had, YET in vs 20 he tore his robe, shaved his head, fell to the ground and worshipped God.

Job 1:20-22 and Job 2:10   Here we see Job’s response to calamity.
  • He BLESSED the name of the LORD
  • Job did not sin against God nor charge Him with wrong
  • Job did not sin with his lips
John 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.
Job 2:1-10  Satan comes again, this time to ask for Job’s bone and flesh.

God confirms Job’s characteristics (God’s testimony about Job)
  • God calls  Job “My servant”
  • God testifies that there is none like Job on the earth
  • God declares Job a blameless, upright man who fears God and shuns evil.
Satan’s thoughts

  • Father, like Job some of us cannot sleep because our sorrow is deep, I pray that You comfort them and pour out Your mercy on them Job 7:4

  • I thank You, my Father because You know the way that I take. When You have tested me, I shall come forth as gold. Job 23:10
  • Teach to me know what to say when I am faced with trial or calamity or when I have to counsel some one through similar situations. If it is to be quiet, Lord, grant me grace to do so, so that I might not sin against You.
Sometimes things are allowed to happen so that the quiet power of our Lord to arrange and rearrange events according to His purpose may be shown.
AMY CARMICHAEL
Culled from: Women of Destiny Bible - New King James Version

Finally, Job was able to say

“For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth; And after my skin is destroyed, this I know that in my flesh I shall see God”

Job 19:25-26

And in Job 42:12- 16  we see that God blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning…..He lived 140 years and saw his children and grandchildren for four generations. He died, old and full of days.
